Just a quick post to let you know that we are closed for a few days - Tuesday 30th August to Friday 3rd September 2021.
Anything painted during w/c Tue 24th August will be available for collection from Saturday 4th September. If you can't remember the dates please just give us a call. Our number is 0115 905 6029

Once we get back we will be sorting out all of the Halloween and Christmas themed pottery, so look out for these items when you are here next.
Our medium sized pumpkins are made here in the studio and cost £30 however if you would like a custom face cutting or a personalised name then please get in touch during September. Once we have your idea we will see what we can do! There is a small additional £5 fee for the personalisation.

Christmas presents mean so much more when they are personal. With this in mind get your self organised and plan ahead. Bring the children in to paint something lovely for their grandparents or come in and do those baby prints in good time. Don't leave it till the last minute.
We have over ten years experience taking baby prints and are always more than happy to help you with them. We will even do the writing too if you like! The cost is always just down to the items of pottery you choose. There is no additional fee for us helping you.

We are approaching that time of the month again! So if you fancy an evening of pottery painting then give us a call and book your table. Of course you can also just click on the book now button and go from there!
If you are new to the concept of our adult only evenings that we call Me Time, they are straight forward ... the session runs from 6:30pm to around 9:30pm. The cost is down to the item of pottery you choose to paint. You can bring your own alcohol and we do serve hot & cold drinks. Oh and we respectfully request that you leave your young children at home, although we have no problem at all with well behaved teenagers!
The dates for the rest of the year are listed below. Feel free to book your sessions now, just remember to put them in your calendar so you don't forget!
Going into the summer holidays we are keeping things very much the same, so if you would like to come please go to the booking page on our website or give us a call to reserve a table.
Of course if you just turn up on the door we will do our best to accommodate you, and due to the renovation of our upstairs rooms we now have more tables to use so it is highly likely that we will have availability!
At the time of writing this post, the wearing of masks and checking in on test and trace is totally up to you. Please feel comfortable which ever option you choose.

Just a quick reminder that we are closed for a week - 11-18th June 2021 whist Jane & Nichola enjoy a holiday by the seaside. We are back open again on the 19th June.
The website is still taking bookings whilst we are enjoying some sun and sea so please do continue to plan your visit to come in and book your tables to paint here at Razzle Dazzle!
Also it's our adults only Me Time Evening on Thursday 24th so if you fancy getting creative book your table now. (go to 6:30pm on the 24th June) If you fancy doing some clay work you can also have a go on Me Time, just pop a note on the booking that you would like to do clay. The cost is £15 each for clay. 
We know, we know it's a bit last minute but we just realised that we hadn't put the Me Time dates down on the calendar!
Are you desperate for a night out with the girls (or boys for that matter) and the chance for a good old natter and a catch up? Well Me Time is the answer. We can now accept bookings from multiple households up to a maximum of six to a table or two separate households.

After a year of lockdowns and restrictions we all need some time to just chill out, what better way than with some art therapy. Go online for some design inspiration, check out our Pinterest page for ideas or just wing it when you get here, either way we are looking forward to seeing you soon.

We have a confession to make, both of us have managed to book a holiday at the same time ....so we will be closed from the 11th June until the 18th June. This means that if you want to paint something special for your Dad this year you need to have painted it by the 9th June and collect it on the afternoon of Thursday 10th or on Saturday 19th.
We will be doing a very last minute kiln firing to ensure that anything done that week will the available to be taken home on Thursday 10th June.
This means that you can't wait till the last minute... Sorry about that.
Is there a new baby in the house? You do know don't you that you now have a purpose built present making device? Dad will love his special "I love my Daddy" keepsake with those tiny hands & feet on.
Of course Daddy would love a 'insert cute figurine here' painted by his special child, it can even live in their bedroom.... yes we have encountered this scenario many a time! What ever the item it will still have been painted with love for Dad!
Pottery painting isn't all about young children, teenagers love coming too. This mug was painted last year by Hannah for her Dad. It's awesome!
Now is the time to get those baby prints and keepsakes made. This last year has made it more challenging with lockdowns and social distancing, however, as we are now allowed once again to have one to one appointments we have decided to run a special offer from now until the end of May. For every £20 spent on hand or foot prints create an additional coaster worth £6 for free.
So what is stopping you from getting those keepsakes made?
The quickest and simplest baby print keepsake is one that is a print on an item of pottery. Any item of pottery can be used so long as it has a flat surface big enough for the intended print. The cost is just the cost of the item, nothing added on for us to help you.
If you prefer some texture to your baby print keepsake then an imprint in clay is for you. This version is usually easier to do when you have a small baby who likes to scrunch up their hand. Scrunched up hands make glazed prints more of a challenge where as clay ones are often more straight forward for us to do.
We have over ten years experience under our belts now however with all of these options there is always the chance that your baby will protest and sometimes they get upset at being made to do something they haven't done before! So prepare for a few tears!
As well as ceramic keepsakes we also offer silver jewellery baby imprints. Prices start at around £65 for a pendant. We have lots of different shapes to choose from. If you would like to know more pop in to the studio and have a look at our brochure.
Putting 2020 behind us and moving into 2021 we are super happy to be welcoming you back in to the studio. Be that to make a baby print keepsake or come along to spend and hour or two getting creative with some pottery painting. Please help our little business move out of our COVID hibernation into a bustling and bright new year by sharing our social media posts, our emails and of course coming into paint with us.
Please book a session in advance where possible, however we know not everyone can plan ahead so we will accept walk-ins if we have space. For a one to one baby print session please choose a mid week session if possible. We are quieter then and there is less chance of interruption!
If you have some painted items to collect or take away items to return come along to the studio during opening hours and pick up / drop off your items asap. We keep your painted items for one year, after that we either use them as examples or dispose of them. This is something that we don't like doing so please come in and take your pottery home.
Hello! Do you remember us? It seems such a long time ago since we have seen your lovely faces and it is great to be able to say 'we are back!' Well, we will be back on the 13th April 2021 - we are just letting you know now so that you can make plans to visit us!
If you have seen our posts on social media you will know that we have been on a countdown now for the past couple of weeks. We are now in the final week and we need to ask a favour.
We need to feel the love! So we ask ever so nicely if you would share this email and our social media posts with everyone, in all the groups (don't annoy too many people though) and most of all please book to come in and paint with us.

There have been a few changes to the layout of the studio, we have removed a few tables both downstairs and up so that there is more space. All the upstairs spaces are available to book, please say in the comment when booking or when you arrive if you have specifically chosen to be upstairs.
The most important thing for us is that we are back! And fingers crossed for no more lockdowns!
Good morning pottery fans. Just a quick message to let you know the important dates for your pottery painting at Razzle Dazzle.
If you want something ready for Christmas it needs to have been painted and back here with us by the end of Saturday the 19th December 2020. So if you have a take away kit that needs to be fired bring it back anytime this week. We are open 10am - 5.30 Tuesday to Saturday. The same goes for visiting us. We have painting sessions available all week, so if you have an idea to paint something unique for that someone special you need to book a time pretty quickly. Our booking page lets you book a day in advance so if you want to come today then you need to give us a call on 0115 905 6029.
We are open on Tuesday 22nd & Wednesday 23rd December for painting and collections. Anything painted however will not be ready to take home until the New Year. The opening hours on those days are the usual ones 10am -5.30pm.
We are not opening this year between Christmas and New Year. So if you are thinking of activities for the family during the holiday then how about a take away kits. Several customers have already been in and collected pottery and glaze for Christmas Day pottery painting. You can book a browsing session for a take away kit or go online or just come along in when we are open. You just need to observe the social distancing guidelines.
2021 is almost here and who knows if it will be any different to 2020! At the moment the plan is to open up the studio again on the 2nd January but who knows what the situation will be. Watch this space!
The studio is open and all the Christmas stock is out, ready and waiting for you to come along and paint it. Scroll down to have a look at the Christmas display. When we though that we couldn't have painters in the studio we re-arranged downstairs to look for like a gift shop, all the tables were moved to the sides and used for display purposes.
Now that we are able to have a few families in to paint the downstairs is still laid out as a browsing area and the painters are upstairs. Our tables are reduced to maintain the social distancing that is required so if you do want to come please book now.
Baby's first Christmas is something that can still be celebrated this year with a lovely hand or footprint bauble. We always say once you have a baby you have a ready made present making opportunity now, perfect presents for all your close relatives. Give them a keepsake they will treasure for ever.
We find that this time of the year is when we allow ourselves to get creative with the Christmas plates. Serving up mince pies on them and maybe a carrot or two for all of Santa's reindeers. Painting it yourself means that it can be just how you want it. With what ever writing you want and designed and painted by you. (we can assist with writing if needed!)
This year we started our popular Colour Me range, where we have drawn and fired on designs for those who are sometimes stuck for ideas. Christmas 2020 is no exception and we have a few for you to choose.
For those who would prefer to paint at home we are still offering you the option to pick up a take away kit. The price is the same as painting in the studio but you will need to bring the items back to us to fire for you.

If you are getting confused by all the changes then you are not alone. Literally everyday we have some fresh Covid News and have to re-think all the plans that were made the day before. If nothing else our brains are being challenged daily to come up with new ways of operating our tiny business.
We had planned to just operate on a take away basis during December. A phone call yesterday from Gedling Borough Council advising us that we are actually allowed to OPEN for customers in the studio! Well that was a surprise, especially after spending several days re-arranging the studio to look like a shop and changing the booking system to allow for take away browsing.
So in case you missed that I will say again - We are allowed to open, open for painters in the studio!!
The provisos are:
The booking system will be back open today for you to book your sessions. At the moment we are remaining closed on Sunday - however if the tables get all booked up for Saturdays we may review the situation.
One to one bookings for baby prints will also stay. This will help us to give sufficient attention to each customer.
Take Away kits will also stay. You are very welcome to order a take away kit and paint at home.
One final word - Me Time is back on! Only 6 tables though and they are all upstairs so if you want to come book now.
